The Samsung Moment is a Google-Android-based QWERTY slider phone released onto Sprint’s 3G network in late 2009. It features the Android 1.5 operating system (codenamed Cupcake) and is in fact the first Android device to sport an 800MHz ARM11 core, as well as first Android QWERTY with an AMOLED display. Included also is an optical pad with touch-sensitive Home, Menu, and Back buttons; plus an extra-large keyboard that critics complain is perhaps too big.
