BlackBerry Curve 8900 is the newest edition to the Blackberry smartphone Curve series. Released on Feb 11th, 2009, this device is sleeker, more solidly constructed and offers a much better resolution than its predecessor (480x360 pixels, supporting over 65,000 colors). The phone has wi-fi, Bluetooth, GPS, wireless mail, a full HTML browser and a 3.2 MP camera. However it lacks the 3G support and can occasionally be sluggish. The HTC Droid Eris is the second Android-powered device announced to run on Verizon Wireless, after the Motorola Droid. It is meant to be a more affordable, lower-end device priced at $99 after rebate and with a Verizon contract. Not all specifications are known at this point (October 2009), but it is known to feature dual-band CDMA (800/1900MHz) with EVDO Rev. A, a 5MP camera, and microSDHC flash memory expansion.
