The HTC Droid Eris is the second Android-powered device announced to run on Verizon Wireless, after the Motorola Droid. It is meant to be a more affordable, lower-end device priced at $99 after rebate and with a Verizon contract. Not all specifications are known at this point (October 2009), but it is known to feature dual-band CDMA (800/1900MHz) with EVDO Rev. A, a 5MP camera, and microSDHC flash memory expansion.
